What is the easiest way to get there?
BY TRAIN
The closest train station is that of Gent-Sint-Pieters. The walk from the station to the festival site takes a good 15 minutes. You can of course also cover the distance by bike or bus or streetcar, see below. Info 02 528 28 28, www.nmbs.be or in your station
BY BICYCLE
Additional bicycle stands will be provided on Bijlokekaai and Godshuizenlaan, near the festival entrance. To plan your cycling route through Ghent, please visit: fietsrouteplanner.gentfietst.be. If you come to Ghent by train, you can also use the Blue Bike bikes at Ghent-Sint-Pieters station (or Ghent-Dampoort). Handy for those making a day of it in Ghent! BY BUS OR TRAM
The festival is located 1 km from the Gent-Sint-Pieters train station. Tram 2 and 4 will take you to stop Bijlokehof at 350 meters from the festival entrance. If you take tram 1, get off at Veergrep, which is 450 meters from the festival entrance. BY TAXI
The cab will take you home safely and quickly at a reasonable price. More information at www.stad.gent/taxi
BY CAR
For those of you who live outside of Ghent, there is sometimes no other option than the car. You can then choose to carpool! Register on eventpool.be and share a car with your musical soulmates.
If you do want to come to Gent Jazz by car, it’s best to park at the edge of town and continue your journey with De Lijn. A number of park-and-rides also have Trapido share bikes. You can find out where they are and how to borrow them at trapido.gent.
If you do have to travel by car in the center of Ghent, it is best to follow the P-route signs and choose a pay parking lot. The following public car parks are closest to Gent Jazz Festival:
– Parking Sint-Pietersplein (P10 – 1 km)
– Parking Savaanstraat (P4 – 1 km)
– Parking Kouter (P5 – 1.2 km)
– Parking Gent-Sint-Pieters railway station (1 km)
– Parking Ledeberg (2,3 km)
