WHAT TO EXPECT TODAY
…and the enchanting voice of Norah Jones drifts from your radio alarm to gently wake you. And it’s so perfect because she’ll be on our stage today. We just have to pat ourselves on the back because we have managed to bring together a lot of the best and brightest there. The Ghent typhoon otherwise known as LABtrio will be making the weather beautiful today, after which a warm breeze from the Middle East promises to bring some swinging bass by Omar Avital with it. Before you get carried away by Blue Note’s lady of honour, we forecast that the wild French storm of Vincent Peirani & Emile Parisien will sweep you off your feet.
Yves Peeters Gumbo will be immersing the De Bijloke gardens in the New Orleans sound from our Garden Stage. Those same funky brass players from Yves Peeters and his Kleptomatics will then entice you to dance the night away at the close of this festival day. Hopefully, you won’t wind up with too many blisters! Who wants a Duvel?
