06 July

The first part of Gent Jazz Festival 2017 starts tomorrow! Before we open the doors, we would like to give you a summary of all the practical information: plan your drive, fill up your Jazzton wallet, and take the safety regulations into account.

We hope you have a great evening and we’ll see you at Gent Jazz Festival!

The doors to the festival site will open at 3:30 p.m.

However, they will open at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, 8 July, and at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, 9 July.

You can find a handy overview with the timeframes for the concerts here. The hourly scheduling is subject to last-minute changes.

Healthy, sustainable, and no parking worries! Extra bicycle racks will be available on Bijlokekaai and Godshuizenlaan. Plan your cycling route through Ghent here.

All you have to do is show your festival ticket and you can ride the bus and tram back and forth to the festival site for free! Several trams and buses stop within a 5-minute walk from the festival site. This way, you don’t have to bother dealing with that whole circulation plan!

You can find all the info about accessibility and the latest departure times for buses and trams here.

The Gent Sint-Pieters station is just a 15-minute walk from the festival site. Plan your train ride here.

Coming to the festival by car in a way that’s still fun, safe, and ecological? Then carpooling is for you! Register here and find a ride.

Are you coming in your own car? Then you can park in the Flanders Expo car park and then head off towards the festival. These car parks are also close to Gent Jazz Festival: Parking Sint-Pietersplein (P10 - 1 km), Parking Kouter (P5 - 1.2 km), and Parking station Gent-Sint-Pieters (1 km).

There is also a wide range of food and drink available on the festival site this year! Enjoy the many food trucks and premium festival classics from J&M Catering. Don’t feel like waiting in line to buy your vouchers? Buy your Jazztons here in advance!

Would you like a little something more? Then make sure to reserve your table at the pop-up restaurant by renown chefs Seppe Nobels and Frank Fol, where you can expect a culinary 3-course menu with paired drinks! There is a special menu for vegetarians. Any intolerances and/or allergies will also be taken into account.

Every concert and festival is a big party! That’s why you really need to pay attention to the following safety regulations, especially so nothing rains on your parade! Everything has been done to make accessing the festival site go as quickly and smoothly as possible.

To make sure that access to the festival site goes as quickly and smoothly as possible, we request that you leave your backpacks and purses at home. Only small backpacks and purses will be allowed on the festival site. Please understand that these will be checked at the entrance. Large backpacks are not allowed.

Professional cameras (e.g. reflex cameras) are not allowed on the festival site. Professional photographers will be on site to photograph the festival, after which these photos will be shared through our various channels.

The following things are not allowed: alcohol, drugs, fireworks, sharp objects, weapons, knives, explosives, etc.
