Practical

Gent Jazz Festival is future-oriented and active, with a healthy dose of desire. And we apply this attitude to how we consciously deal with the environment and society. As a landmark along the jazz circuit, we want to inspire our artists, visitors and partners to make conscientious choices as well, including coming to the festival by bicycle or public transportation.

Location
Gent Jazz Festival is being held in Ghent, just within the boundaries of the ring road, at the Bijloke Site. The public entrance is located on Godshuizenlaan, next to the STAM Ghent City Museum.

By bicycle
Healthy, sustainable and no parking stress! If you live in or around Ghent, a bicycle is the perfect mode of transportation for getting to the festival. Extra bicycle racks will be available on Bijlokekaai and Godshuizenlaan, close to the festival entrance. You can visit http://fietsrouteplanner.gentf... to plan your cycling route through Ghent.
If you’re coming to Ghent by train, then you can also use one of the blue bikes at the Gent-Dampoort and Gent-Sint-Pieters stations. Perfect if you’re looking to spend the day in Ghent and enjoy a delicious jazz lunch. Coming by bicycle isn’t just good for the environment; using it also helps you burn calories, which means that you can enjoy an extra pint (or two). Win-win!

By bus or tram
The festival is just 1 km from the Gent-Sint-Pieters station. Bus 14 (Gent - Drongen - Deinze) will take you to the Bijlokehof stop, which is a mere 350 metres from the festival entrance. If you take tram 1, make sure you get off at the Veergrep stop, which is only 450 metres from the festival entrance. You can find all the info about accessibility and the latest departure times for buses and trams on De Lijn

By car
We understand that if you live outside Ghent, you may have no other option than to come by car. But, you can opt to carpool in this case! It’s more fun, safer and more ecological. Create an account on Eventpool and find somebody to carpool with. It is best to park in the Flanders Expo car park and then take the tram to the festival. If you still have to take your car to the centre of Ghent for some reason, we recommend following the signs for the P-Route, and finding a park & pay car park. The following public car parks are closest to the Ghent Jazz Festival: Parking Sint-Pietersplein (P10 - 1 km), Parking Kouter (P5 - 1.2 km) and Parking station Gent-Sint-Pieters (1 km).

Moving towards a sustainable future together. Count Gent Jazz Festival in! How about you?
