Rob Banken (alto sax), Bruno Van der Haegen (tenor sax), Peter Delannoye (trombone), Berlinde Deman (tuba), Loïc Dumoulin (trumpet), Thomas Mayade (trumpet) and Yves Peeters (drums)

At the age of 14, Yves Peeters got the one thing his heart desired: a set of drums! He immediately started lessons at the music school, playing the drums in the local brass band, and then set up his own band together with some friends. Fast forward to 2017 and the Garden Stage, where he and the Kleptomatics will be closing out the first part of the Gent Jazz Festival. It doesn’t get much better than this! Peeters is surrounding himself with musicians who have earned their spurs with bands the likes of Flat Earth Society, Nordmann, DelVitaGroup, Manngold de Cobre, Yves Peeters Gumbo, Opus 2 Brass Band, etc. Six horns, one set of drums, brass and jazz, danceable riffs and funky grooves: these are the tools the Kleptomatics will use to steal your heart.
