The concert of Daniel Lanois’ Black Dub was cancelled earlier. Daniel Lanois had a serious traffic accident. As a result the complete Black Dub tour was cancelled and also the concert at Gent Jazz Festival on the closing day July 18.

As a result, Lanois has been forced to cancel the whole European Black Dub tour for this July. This means also the concert at the Gent Jazz Festival is cancelled. 29 05José James invites Jef Neve as special guestJosé James invites Jef Neve as a specials guest for his concert Friday July 17. Last year they gave a great concert at the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels and now they team up again for the Gent Jazz Festival. Lambchop and Rodrigo y Gabriela complete the festival day.
Friday july 10 saxophonist Gary Bartz joins the line-up of McCoy Tyner Trio feat. Bill Frisell. Also that day we find Aka Moon and Randy Weston African Rhythms on the program.

04 05Lambchop completes line-up of the Gent Jazz FestivalThe last group for the Gent Jazz Festival is Lambchop.This American band completes the line-up of Friday, July 17th, featuring José James and Rodrigo y Gabriela.
Over the past 15 years, Lambchop has become one of the most exciting bands within the Americana genre. With their subtle mix of country, rock, pop, folk and soul, the group centered by Kurt Wagner has released 10 albums. Year by year, Lambchop has developed into a musical collective built around front man and creative mastermind Kurt Wagner, one of the best song writers of his generation.
As we had already announced, BB King, Jamie Cullum, George Benson, Jamie Lidell, Marianne Faithfull, McCoy Tyner Trio feat. Bill Frisell and Joe Jackson will also be present.
